Physical Properties:Diisooctyl phthalate is a colorless or light yellow viscous liquid with a slight odor; Soluble in aliphatic hydrocarbons, aromatic hydrocarbons, and most organic solvents, slightly soluble in glycerol, ethylene glycol, and some amines, insoluble in water. | |||
Applications: Diisooctyl phthalate is used as the main plasticizer for vinyl chloride copolymers, polyvinyl chloride, cellulose resins, and synthetic rubber. The performance is similar to that of dioctyl phthalate (DOP), but the plasticizing efficiency, electrical performance, and low-temperature performance are slightly worse than DOP. |
